CLAY COUNTY — William R. (Bill) Jackson, 84, died peacefully on Monday, Oct. 8, 2012, surrounded by family and friends. (Baker) Jackson on Dec. 25, 1950, and they were married for 47 years, until her death in 1998. He also was predeceased in 2008 by his wife, Mary Moseman Flesher, whom he married in 1999.

He was a devoted father to Janell Baker Jackson and Amy Jackson (Stephen) Salay; grandfather to Shannon R. McNamara, Rachel Elise and Stephen William Salay; and great-grandfather to Ashton C. All who knew Bill enjoyed his wit and sense of humor, and admired his work ethic and personal sense of honor. He worked very hard to provide for his family, better his community and leave the world better in the form of children, well loved, students, well taught, and a community, well served. He will be loved and missed always.
