MARTINSVILLE, Ill. —
Denzil “Fox” Wolfe, 70, of Martinsville, passed away at 12:56 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 10, 2013, at Heartland Nursing Center, in Casey, after a brief stay. He was born Sept. 22, 1943, in Clark County, the son of Kenneth E. Wolfe and Rosalee E. Hill Wolfe. On Aug. 12, 1972, he married Janet Sue O’Dell at the First Baptist Church in Casey.
Survivors include his wife, Janet Wolfe; son, Jay Wolfe and wife Leslie of St. Louis; daughters, Susan Propst and husband Darin, and Dinah Wolfe, all of Martinsville; grandchildren, Payton, Ashley and Ella Propst and Briley and Kiley Wolfe; nephew, George Bishop and wife Serena of Martinsville; and great-niece, Sarah Bishop of Martinsville. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Terry Eugene Wolfe; and sisters, Sarah Helen Wolfe, Anna Jeannette Wolfe and June Elaine Bishop.
He was a lifelong farmer in the Martinsville area, and a member of the Willow Creek Cumberland Presbyterian Church, where he taught Bible prophecy. He was a member of the Army National Guard of Terre Haute, Ind., and the Martinsville American Legion Post 515. Fox enjoyed 1960’s music, and most of all he cherished the time he spent with his family.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. CST Thursday, Nov. 14, 2013, at the church, 6492 E. 400th Road., Martinsville, with the Rev. Kevin Small officiating. Burial will follow in Butternut Cemetery, rural Martinsville, with graveside military rites by the Martinsville American Legion. Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Greenwell Funeral Home, 30 N. Washington St.,
