V. Jacqueline “Jackie” Brandenburg Britt, 70, of Terre Haute, passed away at 6:15 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2013, in her residence. She was born Nov. 17, 1942, in Terre Haute, to Jack Eddie Brandenburg and Marjorie Mae Collins Brandenburg.
Her husband, Edward L. Britt, whom she married Dec. 6, 1958, preceded her in death on Dec. 2, 2006.
Survivors include their children, Kelli Britt, Edward Britt I and his wife Tommi, and Karol West, all of Terre Haute; a brother, Gary Brandenburg and his wife Ronni of Prairie Creek; three sisters, Debra Mullins of Indianapolis, Mary Lou Toll of Terre Haute, and Wendy Thompson of State Line, Ind.; 10 grandchildren, Erin Young (Carlos), Courtney Carson (Billy), Brooke Bender (Brandon), Joe Diehl (Ashley Fink), Hickori West (Heather Brantner), Lyndsay Britt, Edward Britt II (Autumn), Kodi Jenkins (Justin Milner), Jimmy West (Haley) and Autumn Jenkins; 14 great-grandchildren, Morgan Young, Kelsey Young, Layne Carson, Tucker Carson, Noah Young, Alexis Britt, Drake Bender, Taylor Britt, Aiden Bender, Ryanne Milner, Haddilyn West, Jaden Morlan, Justin Morlan; and Baby Valeria, who is due in January; and several nieces and nephews.
She also was preceded in death by a daughter, Kerri Driscoll; her father; and her mother and stepfather, Marjorie Mae Richardson and Mark Richardson.
Jackie had been employed as a certified nursing assistant with the Sisters of Providence at St. Mary-of-the-Woods. She enjoyed watching sports and especially attending sporting events to watch her grandchildren play. She was a nanny to everyone and every child she met. Her life was her family.
Funeral services for Jackie will be 1 p.m. Monday in Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, with the Rev. Randy Smith officiating. Burial will be in Bethesda Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today.
