CASEY, Ill. —
Wilma Mae Mortz, 88, of Casey, formerly of Terre Haute, Ind., passed away at 2:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 14, 2013, at Casey Health Care Center. She was born Aug. 24, 1925, in Terre Haute, the daughter of Cecil Harvey McClure and Jessie Agnes Persinger McClure. On Dec. 13, 1946, she married Lamon Dean Mortz, in Terre Haute. He passed away on Dec. 13, 1998.
Survivors include a son, Lon Mortz and wife Karen of Grand Rapids, Mich.; daughters, Dottye Crippen and husband John of Terre Haute; Luann Prater and husband Dwight of Bermuda Run, N.C., and Connie McDonald and husband Tharon of Clinton, Ind.; brother, Estell McClure and wife Joan of Terre Haute; 12 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by her parents; son, Russell Mortz; two brothers and two sisters.
Mrs. Mortz was a homemaker. She had worked at Paper Chase, a copy center, in Terre Haute. Wilma was a member of the Southside Nazarene Church, in Terre Haute. She and her husband helped build the church in 1957.
At her request, anatomical donation has been arranged. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Markwell Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Memorial donations may be made to the donor’s choice.
