John Francis (Michael) Hogue, 64, of Terre Haute, passed away Sunday, Sept. 29, 2013, at his residence. John was born Aug. 22, 1949, in Atlanta, to William Hogue and Mary VanAsten. John was raised in Miami.
He worked as an assistant manager at Greyhound, and he liked to hunt, but most of all he loved to fish. He also loved to spend time with his family.
Survivors include his loving wife and soul mate, Arlouine Hogue; two daughters, Lori Hogue and Michelle Hogue; two sons, Donn Adkins Jr. and Sam Adkins; grandchildren Leila Marshall, Hayden Harrison, Emma Adkins, Deedrah Adkins, Madyson Adkins, Mara Adkins, Mariah Adkins, Jayleigh Adkins, Isaac Adkins, Jazmaine Adkins, and Javin Cooper; a sister, Maryvan Manser; brother, William Hogue; and sisters and brothers-in-law; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He also is survived by a special set of sister and brothers-in-law to him, Denna and Bob Baker; and niece, Tammy Robins.
John was preceded in death by his son, Scot Michael Hogue; his parents; and his mother-in-law and father-in-law James, and Gertrude Denny.
Services are schedule for Saturday, Oct. 5, 2013, at 3 p.m. with a visitation from 1 p.m. until the service time at Mattox-Wood Funeral Home. Per his wishes, cremation will follow the services. Online condolences may be left at:
