MARSHALL, Ill. —
MARSHALL, Ill. — Lorene Leggett Spittler, 88, of Marshall, passed away at 6:45 a.m. Tuesday, April 23, 2013, at Burnsides Community Health Care Center in Marshall. She was a retired executive secretary for IMC, formerly Commercial Solvents of Terre Haute. She was born Sept. 14, 1924, in Martinsville, Ill., the daughter of Forrest Clark Leggett and Nellie Morgan Leggett.
Surviving is a brother-in-law, Richard Ralston of Oblong, Ill.; a niece, Jane Ann (Jon) Zerkel of Effingham, Ill.; a nephew, Rick (Robin) Ralston of Wichita, Kan.; great-niece, Adrienne Foster; and great-nephews, Terry Ralston and Mitch Ralston. She was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Lu Ralston.
She was a member of Maplewood Christian Church of Terre Haute, Ind., and had been recently attending the First Christian Church of Marshall. She was a graduate of Marshall High School.
Services in honor of her life will be 11 a.m. CDT Saturday, April 27, 2013, at Pearce Funeral Home, 314 S. 6th St., in Marshall, with Brother Craig Wininger officiating. Burial will be in Marshall Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to services on Saturday at the funeral home.
