Shirley Ann Toney

BRAZIL — Shirley Ann Toney, 68, lifelong resident of Brazil, passed away at Cloverleaf Health Care, on April 23, 2013, following a lengthy illness. Shirley was born June 13, 1944, the daughter of Raymond and Ruby (Riggs) White. She graduated from Brazil High School with the class of 1962. Shirley married Chuck Toney on June 15, 1970. Together they raised two children, Lori and Lee.

Shirley was a member of the Brazil First United Methodist Church and the American Legion Auxiliary. Shirley enjoyed helping those less fortunate and truly loved spending time with family. She lived her life to spend time with her grandchildren taking every opportunity to attend their special events.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Larry G. White; and a son-in-law, Mike Kelty.

Shirley is survived by her husband, Chuck of Brazil; a daughter, Lori Mayle and husband Mike, son, Lee Toney and wife Holly, all of Brazil; stepdaughter, Shari Kelty, stepson, Jay Toney and wife Cheryl, all of Terre Haute; grandchildren, Mara Whitman and husband Logan, and Macy Mayle, all of Brazil, Shelby Toney of Terre Haute, Hunter Toney and Amelia Toney, both of Brazil, Lexi Kelty and Nikki Kelty, Cyle Toney and fiancée Jessica Dragon, great-grandson, Aiden, all of Terre Haute; and sister-in-law, Linda White; as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Services will be at Lawson-Miller Chapel, on Friday, April 26, 2013, at 11 a.m., with Pastor Steve Loft officiating. Burial will follow at Clearview Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. If friends prefer donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 6415 Castleway West Drive, Suite 114, Indianapolis, IN 46250.
