TERRE HAUTE —
Nancy Jean Culver, 72, of Terre Haute, passed away at 11:45 a.m. Tuesday, April 16, 2013, at Westridge Healthcare Center in Terre Haute. She retired as a librarian from IUPUI University in Indianapolis. She also had been employed as the activities director for Indiana Masonic Home. She was born May 31, 1940, in Terre Haute, to George Steppe and Edna Burnett Steppe.
Survivors include her husband, Curtis D. Culver, whom she married Jan. 1, 1957, in Ringgold, Ga.; a daughter, Cathy Culver of Reed, Ky.; three sons, Mark Culver of Indianapolis, and Chris Culver and David Culver, both of Terre Haute; four grandchildren, Mandy, Lara, Michelle, and Catrina; two great-grandchildren, Devan and Dean; and her father-in-law, Curtis B. Culver.
She was a member of Farmers Chapel Community Church in Terre Haute, Order of the Eastern Star, and Daughters of the American Revolution. She loved to do crafts and work on genealogy and she also had been a licensed professional clown.
Funeral services for Nancy will be 1 p.m. Saturday, April 20, 2013, in Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 N. 3rd St., in West Terre Haute, with the Rev. Terry Whitlock officiating. Burial will be in Hull Cemetery. Visitation will be 11 a.m. until service time Saturday.
