TERRE HAUTE —
Thomas Dean Hall, born Aug. 1, 1930, passed away Monday, April 15, 2013. Tom was a lifelong resident of Terre Haute and attended school at Otter Creek and Fontanet. Tom graduated with a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering from Rose Hulman in 1955. Tom's previous employers include Weston Paper as a general superintendent and Columbia Records as a plant engineer. Tom retired at age 55 from the manufacturing field to pursue a different career by continuing his education in computer technology and providing computer drafting design services for local businesses as a private contractor. During his working career Tom continued to work the family farm raising cattle and farming the land.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew Thomas Hall and Shirley Marie Hall. Tom is survived by one sister, Anita (Bob) Shultz; four children, Dean (Marla) Hall, Monica (Rick) Vicars, Cathy Hall, and Janis (Mike) Keith; four grandsons and two granddaughters; and three great-grandsons and two great-granddaughters.
Tom's request was to be cremated without traditional funeral services. There will be a celebration of life gathering for family and friends (against Tom's instructions) from 1 to 3 p.m. at Zorah Shrine Country Club Saturday, April 20, 2013. Condolences can be made at:
