PARIS, Ill. —
Edna Pearl Huston, 84, of Paris, passed away at 6:45 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2012, at Burnsides Community Health Center in Marshall, Ill. She was retired after many years as a baker at the former Bridwell’s Grocery in Paris. She was born Oct. 30, 1928, in Coles County, Ill., the daughter of the late Albert “Adren” and Ruby (McGrew) Swinford. She married Edwin Arthur Huston Sr. on Oct. 2, 1948, in Henderson, Ky. He preceded her in death August 5, 1984.
Survivors include a son, Edwin A. (Vicki) Huston Jr. of Rossville, Ill.; four daughters, Janet Ruth (John) Vice of Paris, Wanda Kay (Larry) Murphy of Marshall, Ruby Ellen Huston of Marshall, and Cheryl Fern Smith of Belleville, Ill.; four brothers, Albert Dale (Barbara) Swinford of Sidney, Ill., James Cleo (Betty) Swinford of Marshall, Don (Marilyn) Swinford of Herrin, Ill., and Aaron (Rose) Swinford of Nashville, Ill.; 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She also was preceded in death by a son, Charles E. Huston; one brother; and two sisters.
Mrs. Huston was a member of American Legion Post 211 Auxiliary, and was an avid golfer and bowler.

An American Legion Auxiliary memorial service will be conducted at 12 noon CST on Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012, at Templeton Funeral Home, 600 East Court St., in Paris, by Post 211 Auxiliary. Memorial visitation will be from 10 a.m. until 12 noon Tuesday at the funeral home. Private interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery. Online condolences at:
