JASONVILLE — JASONVILLE — Bonnie Alice Borders, 84, of Jasonville, went to be home with the Lord Jesus at 1:50 p.m. Thursday, April 4, 2013, in St. Vincent Hospice Unit, Indianapolis. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was born Oct. 26, 1928, in Hymera, to Earl Lester McCrocklin and Alice Rebecca (Morrison) McCrocklin.

Survivors include her husband, Robert R. “Bob” Borders, whom she married Nov. 4, 1949; daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon R. and Vernon Raines of Jasonville, Linda Sue and Roger Lee of Sullivan, Nancy K. and Bob Meeks of Lebanon; sons and  daughters-in-law, Robert “Bobby” M. and Kim Borders of Franklin, Anthony “Tony” L. and Nancy Borders of Sacramento, Calif., Bruce A. and Lola Borders of Jasonville; grandchildren, Jenny Robbins and Mike, Mike Myers and Lisa, Stacey Knowles and Todd, Gabriel Bond, Jennifer Lee, Jim Raines and Jill, Mark Raines and Brandy, Amber Raines, Bobby Borders, Kyla Borders, Bethany Schunk and Isaac, Rebekah Bark and Brian, Jordan Borders, Jarred Meeks, Evan Meeks, Brandon Borders, and Karen Borders; great-grandchildren, Garrett, Grayden, Ashlynn, Jade, Sara, Alex, Caleb, Gage, Nathan, Addison, Noah, Kyia, Khloe, Christian, Layla, Ema, Andrew, Felicity and Elijah; sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary Rachel “Chick”  Haag of Avon, Rebecca Ann “Becky” and Mike Rambis of Cupertino, Calif.; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughters, Cheryl Ann Borders and Karen Renee Borders; and a brother, Robert Earl “Bob” McCrocklin.

Bonnie had retired as a registered nurse from Mary Sherman Hospital, where she worked as an obstetrics nurse. She was a graduate of Union Hospital School of Nursing. She attended the Jasonville Assembly of God Church and Lawton Street Christian Church. Bonnie loved to read, travel, play Scrabble, and collect dolls. She was always singing around the house and attending Bruce's Elvis Shows. She enjoyed going to Branson to see the shows, watching Pacer basketball, walking and driving through Shakamak State Park. Bonnie enjoyed growing flowers around the house. Her real love was spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Funeral services are 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 10, 2013, at Assembly of God Church, with Pastors Sam Bush and Mark Messmer officiating. Interment will be at Lebanon Cemetery, in Midland. Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Cox Funeral Home, 218 S. Meridian St., and noon until services Wednesday at the church.
