Lawrence N. Nunley

TERRE HAUTE — Lawrence N. Nunley, 66, passed away Tuesday, April 2, 2013, in his residence after a two-year battle with prostate cancer. He was born Sept. 21, 1946, in Terre Haute, to Lawrence L. Nunley and Helen Louise (Kiley) Nunley.

Lawrence was retired from HP Products, where he won many awards for sales and was also in the President’s Club.

He is survived by his dedicated wife and best friend, Naomi (Swan) Nunley; daughter, Darby Potts and husband Paul of Terre Haute; son, Larry R. Marietta and wife Michelle of Zionsville; four grandchildren, Jared Potts, Hannah Potts, Molly Marietta, and Maggie Marietta; brother, Dennis Nunley and wife Sandy of Jasper; stepdaughters, Robbin Poore of West Virginia and Bobbie Sue Lawson of Terre Haute; stepson, Dennis Lawson Jr. and wife Beth of Terre Haute; seven stepgrandchildren; and two nephews, one niece, and four great-nephews.

Lawrence was a graduate of Schulte High School and Indiana State University. He also was a member of St. Joseph University Parish. He was an avid golfer, and had many hole in 1’s, and also he was very proud of his backyard full of beautiful flowers. Lawrence’s friends were very supportive of him during his illness and he will be missed by all of them and his family.

Visitation will be Sunday, April 7, 2013, from 4 until 8 p.m. in Callahan-DeBaun Funeral Home, 2425 Wabash Ave. Mass will be Monday, April 8, 2013, at 11 a.m. in St. Joseph University Parish with Father Mark Weaver officiating. The family suggests that for those who desire, memorial contributions may be made to Catholic Charities of Terre Haute, 1801 Poplar St., Terre Haute, IN 47803. Online condolences may be left at:
