TERRE HAUTE —
Cheryl Dian DisPennett Purtee, of Jackson, Tenn., and formerly of West Terre Haute, passed into eternal life on Nov. 22 , 2013. She was born Jan. 4, 1963, in Terre Haute, to Robert DisPennett Sr. and Carolyn Miller DisPennett. She graduated from West Vigo High School in 1981.
She was preceded in death by four grandparents, Alfred DisPennett Sr., Charlotte DisPennett, Fred Miller Sr., and Mary Miller; as well as one brother-in-law, Steve Purtee; one niece, Connie Purtee; and her father-in-law, Carlos Purtee. She is survived by her husband of eight years, Allen Purtee. She also is survived by two daughters, Micaiah (Brandon) Yetter and Faith Bryant (Tyler Gateley); three grandchildren, Noah Yetter, Jaelyn Yetter and Gabriella Gateley; her parents, Robert and Carolyn DisPennett of Rosedale; two brothers, Robert (Kimberley) DisPennett Jr. of Terre Haute, and Timothy (Beverly) DisPennett of Clinton; one sister, Susan (Patrick) Richey of Inglis, Fla.; her mother-in-law, Connee Purtee; three brothers-in-law, Ron (Gail) Purtee, David (Beth) Purtee, and Tim (Tonja) Purtee; as well as 11 nieces and nephews; 30 great-nieces and nephews; three great-great-nieces; as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins; and several very close friends. Her loyal service dog, Nevaeh, died at her side.
A visitation service will be held at George A. Smith & Sons Funeral Home South Chapel in Jackson, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. today, Nov. 26. 2013.
