TERRE HAUTE —
Martha Louise Drake Fox passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2013. She was living in Atlanta, with her daughter, Beverly L Fox; grandson, Robert T Dant; granddaughter, Beth Ventura and her husband Craig Hall; and great-grandchildren, Lexie Hall and Max Hall. Originally from Greenville, Ky., but a long time resident of Terre Haute, Mrs. Fox was very active in many charitable and political organizations. Her many contributions included work with the Democratic Party, the State Heart Fund Association, and the local Chamber of Commerce.
She was a member of the first staff hired by Columbia Records when they moved their operations to Terre Haute. She went on to work in sales at WBAK-TV and the Terre Haute Tribune-Star.
She also is survived by her son, Charles E. Fox; sister Mrs. Mary D. Wickliffe; and cousins, a niece, and nephews.
Graveside services will be in her hometown of Greenville, Ky., on Saturday, May 18, 2013, where she will be buried next to her beloved parents in Evergreen Cemetery. Contributions in her name may be donated to the Alzheimer Research Foundation. Condolences for the family may be posted on the Southcare Cremation and Funeral Society website.
