TERRE HAUTE — Jimmie Bob Keefer, 76, of Terre Haute, passed away at 2:14 p.m. Thursday, April 4, 2013, in Union Hospital. He was retired from Indiana State University. Jimmie was born Dec. 16, 1936, in Attica, to Robert Keefer and Delilah (Stevens) Keefer.

He is survived by his wife, Betty (Alexander) Keefer; two sons, Rob Keefer and wife Donna of Cloverdale and Wally Keefer of Greenwood; sister, Carole Collins and husband Steven of Terre Haute; two stepsons, Chip Johnston and wife Stephanie and Kevin Johnston, all of Terre Haute; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Tommie Keefer.

Jimmie was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He was a member of the Illinois Chapter of the Cloven Hoofs MC and he was a great storyteller.

Visitation is Monday, April 8, 2013, from 4 until 7 p.m. in Callahan-DeBaun Funeral Home, 2425 Wabash Ave., with military honors provided by Lawton-Byrum Post 972 Veterans of Foreign Wars at 5 p.m. and funeral services will be conducted at 7 p.m. with Pastor Randy McPike officiating.
