TERRE HAUTE —
Margaret “Peggy” Grace Evitts, 63, of Knightsville, and formerly of West Terre Haute, passed away at Cloverleaf Health Care on June 10, 2013, following a lengthy illness. Peggy was born in Terre Haute, Aug. 19, 1949, the daughter of John and Ruth (Heyen) Cobble. She graduated from West Vigo High School with the class of 1966. Although she spent most of her life caring for her family, she did work as a Certified Nurses Aide for the Sisters of Providence for a short period of time.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, reading to her grandchildren and singing praise and worship music.
She married Albert Franklin Evitts in 1972. He preceded her in death Feb. 2, 2007. She also was preceded in death by her parents, John and Ruth Cobble.
She is survived by her daughter, Michelle Estep and fiancé Jeff Hunt of West Terre Haute; three sons:, John Evitts and Brent Evitts, both of Terre Haute, and Trent Evitts of West Terre Haute; as well as seven grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at Restlawn Cemetery, Friday, June 14, 2013, at 1 p.m. French Funeral Home, in Brazil, has been entrusted with her care. To light a candle in her memory visit:
