Beverly Ann Dayhuff, 76, of Terre Haute, passed away on Monday, Jan. 6, 2014, at Altenheim Assisted Living in Indianapolis. She was born on May 1, 1937, in Owen County, to Donovan E. Kitch and Frances H. (Rhodes) Kitch. She married Ted Dayhuff on June 20, 1959. Beverly was a registered nurse. She worked as a pediatric nurse at St. Anthony’s and in Oncology at Union Hospital. She enjoyed crafts, especially cross-stitching. Beverly bowled for a league and was a member of Newcomers of Terre Haute. She also was a member of Riley United Methodist Church.
Beverly is survived by her daughter, Shari Phillips and her husband Brian; grandchildren, Matthew and Daniel Phillips; her sister, Marilyn Williams and her husband Larry; a nephew, Jeff Baber; two aunts; and several cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Ted; her parents; her sister, Sharon Baber; and her nephew, Craig Williams.
Visitation will be held from 12:30 until 2 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 13, 2014, at Mattox-Wood Funeral Home, 4660 N. Lafayette Ave. Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in Beverly’s name to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital. Online condolences may be expressed at:
