Diana L. Terhune

BRAZIL — BRAZIL — Diana L. Terhune, 75, of Brazil, passed away July 8, 2013, at St. Vincent Clay Hospital. She had been in failing health since the death of her husband Ron, this past April. Diana was born Oct. 30, 1937, in Clay County, the daughter of Wilmer Turner and Mary Frances Lawson Turner. She graduated from Brazil High School. On Nov. 25, 1955, she was united in marriage to the love of her life, Ronald R. Terhune. Together they raised their family in both Phoenix, Ariz., and here in Indiana. While in Phoenix, Diana worked for Washington Inventory, and here in Brazil she was in the office management team for Great Dane Trailers, retiring in 2002.

Diana was a gracious lady with a distinctive artistic flair when it came to clothing, decorating and even working in her flower beds. She had a way of making everything special and unique with her caring touch. She treated all of her children equally and was always there to welcome friends into their home. She wanted her home to reflect the love that was shared there and she achieved that goal. She took great delight in a Sunday drive, an afternoon nap and listening to the rain on the roof. She and Ron enjoyed time on the Eel River, vacationing and dancing together and most of all family time. She was known as Granny to the children and was a treasured friend to many.

Diana was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and she was active in the Silver Sneakers Group at the YMCA.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Myla Geswein and Margaret "Meg" Herron; her husband, Ron Terhune, April 24, 2013; two grandsons, Kyle Rudolph and Joseph Rudolph.

Survivors include her daughters, Jan Terhune and husband William Keltz of Virginia, LeAnn Martin and husband Randal D. of Brazil, Kimberly Rudolph and husband Don "Rudy" of Michigan, and Stacy Latham and husband Bradley of Center Point; grandchildren, Joshua Coleman (Layne), Lindsey Irwin (P.J.) Bryan A. Martin, Cody Rudolph (Angela), Jeremy Latham (Kelsie Simmonson), Derek Latham and Lainey Latham; great-grandchildren, Arlie Irwin, Grady Irwin, Griffin Rudolph, Brendan Craig, Addison Latham and Ross Henry Coleman.

Services will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Lawson-Miller Chapel, with Gary Scroggins officiating. Burial will follow at Summit Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. If friends so desire, donations may be directed to the First Presbyterian Church, Youth Program. Light a candle in her memory at:
