Charles Eugene Sullivan, 66, of Terre Haute, passed away Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012, in his residence. Charles was born Sept. 7, 1946, in Terre Haute, to James E. Sullivan and Dorothy A. Hichenbotham Sullivan.
Charles was a retired member of the United States Navy as well as being retired from the United States Postal Service. He was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 972 as well as Wabash Valley Officials Association.
Charles was preceded in death by his son, David Sullivan; one sister, Dorothy Ann Sullivan; and one brother, William Rufus Sullivan. He is survived by his wife, Wanda Snow Sullivan; and three sons, Allen Sullivan, Steven Sullivan, and Robert Johnson; two daughters, Michelle Cooper and Patricia Dunn. He also is survived by four brothers, James E. Sullivan Jr., Robert D. Sullivan, John Lawrence Sullivan, and Andrew Ned Sullivan; two sisters, Carolyn Sue Sullivan Clark and Teresa Holt; as well as 12 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces, nephews, loving family, and friends.
A celebration of life will be Monday, Oct. 8, 2012 at 5 p.m. at Maplewood Christian Church, 2000 North 13th St., in Terre Haute, with Pastor Craig Wininger officiating. Greiner Funeral Home was entrusted with arrangements. Online condolences may be made at: www.greinerfuneralhome.com
