Peggy Lou Sisson

TERRE HAUTE — Peggy Lou Sisson, of Terre Haute, passed away on Aug. 4, 2013, at Union Hospital. She was born in Bloomington, on Nov. 16, 1940, to Herbert M. Minnick and Catherine Sparks Minnick. Peggy was a graduate of Bloomington High School in 1958, and spent two years at Indiana State University. She was employed by Indiana State University in the Housing and Food Service Department for 23 years.

She was a member of Rio Grande Baptist Church and a former member of “Sweet Harmony.”

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and she will be missed greatly by her family.

Peggy is survived by her husband, Herbert Sisson; three daughters, Debbie Carithers and husband Donald, Angie Sisson and Joe Frazier of Terre Haute, and Pam and Marlon Thompson of Kingman; a brother, Lloyd Minnick of Bloomington; two grandsons, Kyle Thompson of Kingman, and Dallas Carithers of Terre Haute.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Leah Jane Stevens.

Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2013, at Mattox-Wood Funeral Home, with visitation today from 4 to 8 p.m. also at the funeral home. Officiating will be the Rev. Larry Lilly, with burial to follow at Sulpher Springs Cemetery. Online condolences may be made at:
