PARIS, Ill. — David Eugene Cutright, 65, of Paris, passed away at 4:37 p.m. Tuesday, July 30, 2013, in his residence. Born May 22, 1948, in Paris, he was the son of John William “Bill” Cutright and Virginia E. (Menk) Cutright. He married Katherine J. (Trotter) Cutright Aug. 29, 1975, in Ashmore, Ill.
He was a factory shift supervisor and a member of Grandview United Methodist Church. Mr. Cutright was a United States Army veteran of the Vietnam War and was a Purple Heart recipient. He also was a member of the Edgar County Farm Bureau and Kansas American Legion Post 0539.
Survivors include his wife, Katherine; his mother, Virginia Cutright of Paris; his daughters, Katie E. Knoll and her husband Scott of Kansas, Ill., and Erika J. Nail and her husband Dirk of Chrisman, Ill.; grandchildren, Wyatt N. Knoll and Natalie K. Knoll, both of Kansas, Ill.; brother, Robert Cutright and his wife Ronda of Dudley, Ill., sister, Nancy Forsythe and her husband Wayne of West Terre Haute; brother-in-law, Max L. Trotter and his wife Dawn of Kansas; and his faithful dog, Tess. He was preceded in death by his father.
Following cremation, a memorial visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. CDT Monday, Aug. 5, 2013, in Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home, Paris. Memorial services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2013, in the funeral home, with the Rev. Michael Dixon officiating. Interment of the cremains will follow in Grandview Cemetery. Military graveside honors will be provided by Kansas American Legion Post 0539. Memorial contributions in his name may be made to E.C.C.F., Inc. DO It! Fund.
