TERRE HAUTE —
Thomas Leroy Long Jr., 54, of Indianapolis, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 20, 2013, after a brief battle with cancer. He was born in Terre Haute on Oct. 6, 1958, to Thomas L. and Patricia R. Williams Long.
He graduated from Terre Haute South Vigo in 1977, attended Indiana University in Bloomington, and graduated from Indiana State University in 1981. He was employed for 15 years in the floral business, spending 11 of those years at Teleflora Company.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Tom leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 26 years, Scarlet; stepson, Chad McCubbins and wife Connie; one brother, Timothy L. Long and wife Robin; two sisters, Tonya L. Tetidrick and husband Keith, and Tracy Long; three grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and so many lifelong friends that he adored.
In keeping with his wishes cremation has been chosen and there are no services. There will be a celebration of his life/benefit with multiple live bands performing from noon until 8 p.m. Sunday, April 28, 2013, at Ambrosini’s, 1367 Wabash Ave. Bell Professional Mortuary Service, Inc., in Indianapolis, assisted with arrangements.
