Emilee Danise Lenges

TERRE HAUTE — Emilee Danise Lenges, 2, of West Terre Haute, passed away at 12:25 p.m. Thursday Feb. 23, 2012, in Riley Children’s Hospital in Indianapolis, from injuries sustained in an automobile/train collision in rural northeast Clark County, Ill., which also claimed the lives of  three other passengers including her mother, Amber Nicole Smith and her brother, Korben Lee Moore. Emilee was born Aug. 20, 2009, in Terre Haute, to Robert E. Lenges and Amber Nicole Smith.

She is survived by her father, Robert E. Lenges of Terre Haute; her sister, Breanna Lenges of Terre Haute; her maternal grandparents, Lisa and Tim Buchanan of Dennison, Ill., and Jerry Smith of Marshall, Ill.; her paternal grandmother, Amy Lenges of West Terre Haute; paternal grandfather, Stephen Lenges of West Terre Haute; maternal great-grandparents, David Smith of Marshall, and James and Peg Fagg of Terre Haute; paternal great-grandparents, Janet and Gene Robbins of West Terre Haute; aunts and uncles, Anne Marie Lenges and her son, Vincent, Dianne Lenges; Sabrina Lowe and her two daughters, Elizabeth and Jesi; Melissa Smith and her companion Jacob Griese and their three children, Kylie, Amelia and Christian Griese; Eric Buchanan, and Brittany Smith; great-aunt and great-uncles, John and Ann Lenges, Paul Lenges, Judy Lenges, Carolyn Lenges, Doug Robbins and his two children, Bobby and Andrea Rardin, Lori Robbins and her daughter, Olivia, John and Sarita Smith, Mary Jo and Mike Wallace, and Michael Smith; and many cousins. She also was preceded in death by maternal great-grandmothers, Judith Bays and Marilyn Smith; and paternal great-grandparents, August and Virginia Lenges.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 29, 2012, in Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 N. 3rd St., in West Terre Haute, with the Rev. Chris Wilbur officiating. Burial will be in Bethesda Memorial Park. Visitation will be 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and also prior to services Wednesday.
