P. Darlene Caddell, 54, of Harmony, passed away on June 22, 2013, at Union Hospital, with her family by her side following a battle with cancer. Darlene was born Jan. 22, 1959, the daughter of Ted and Margie (Cook) Morris. She married the love of her life, Clarence “Clyde” Caddell Jr., on March 11, 1989. Darlene was a former correctional officer at Putnamville Correctional Facility.
In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening, needle point, reading, genealogy, and crocheting. She also enjoyed antiquing with her family and metal detecting with her husband.
Darlene was always a strong and stubborn spirit and fought her cancer since Jan. 11, 2013. In the end she still went on her terms. She would do what she could for her family and loved them dearly.
Darlene is preceded in death by her parents; and a son, Ryan Patterson.
She is survived by her husband of 24 years, Clyde Caddell of Harmony; daughters, Amanda Zeiher of Terre Haute, Misty Armstrong and husband Brian of Center Point, Angie (Patterson) Morris of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Bryan Bell, Tori Armstrong, Jase Armstrong, all of Center Point, David Morris of Indianapolis, Austin Patterson of Kentucky; sister, Janice Wyss and husband Herman of Indianapolis; brother, Gary Morris and wife Donna of Indianapolis; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Services will be Wednesday, June 26, 2013, at 1 p.m. at Lawson-Miller Chapel, in Brazil. Burial will follow at Harmony Cemetery.
