Donald Lloyd Robinson

ROCKVILLE — Donald Lloyd Robinson, 76, of Rockville, passed away Thursday evening, Feb. 6, 2014, in Union Hospital, Terre Haute. He was born Nov. 26, 1937, in Bloomingdale, Ind., son of Merida Robinson and Frances Ray Robinson. He graduated in 1955 from Marshall High School in Parke County. He married Frances Kent on Feb. 26, 1960, in Dana, Ind., and she survives. He served in the U.S. Army from 1961 to 1963, stationed at Fort Bliss, Texas; Thailand; and Greenland. He belonged to American Legion Post 48 in Rockville.

He was a pipefitter for 40 years, belonging to the Steam & Pipefitters #440 of Indianapolis, retiring in 2005. He enjoyed gardening, welding, repairs helping local farm neighbors, and he enjoyed time spent with his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four sisters, Winifred Allen, Wilma Hobson, Ruth Hanner and Norma Rogers; two brothers, William (Billy) Robinson and Leslie Robinson; and one infant grandson.

He is survived by his wife, Frances; one son, Stacey (Bethany) Robinson, of Fishers, Ind.; two daughters, Paula (Jeremy) Price and Ellen (David) Goff, all of Rockville; one sister, Dorothy Miller of Bloomingdale; and one brother, Dennis (Judi) Robinson of New Market.

He is survived by six grandchildren, Grace, Evanna and Grant Robinson of Fishers, Ind.; and Evan and Kyle Price, and A.J. Goff, all of Rockville.

Funeral services for Donald will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2014, in Butler Funeral Home, 218 N. College St., Rockville, Ind., with Brother Don Perry officiating. Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. Monday in the funeral home and before the service Tuesday morning. Burial will follow in Memory Garden Cemetery, Rockville, Ind.
