Thomas Arthur Phillips, 98, of Davidson, N.C., died Monday, Feb. 3, 2014, at Levine and Dickson Hospice House, in Huntersville, N.C. Born June 19, 1915 in Benton, Ill., he was a son of the late J. Clark Phillips and Louise Meyers Phillips. He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran, and retired college professor of Indiana State University.
He leaves to cherish his memory his daughters, Marie (Jim) Norris, Billi (Phil) Slavens, and Linda (Mike) Sherck; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wives, Mable and Gladys; three brothers and one sister.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Levine and Dickson Hospice House, 11900 Vanstory Drive, Huntersville, NC 28078.
