She traveled to Germany, Hawaii and Alaska in addition to many states in the continental U.S. Besides traveling, Eva enjoyed reading and collecting hats which she wore to church every Sunday. Eva also collected horses and Chinese figurines.

Eva is survived by her daughters, Marla (Roy) Bonus of Naperville, Ill., and Paula (Fred) Schwarz of Littleton, Colo.; and her son, Glenn (Patricia) Blockinger Jr. of Leland, Ill. She also was a great-grandmother to Roman Tutaj, Chandler and Morgan Schwarz-Shoaf, Collin and Bella Blockinger. She also is survived by her sister-in-law, Irmagene (Ray) Blockinger Nelson of West Union, Ill.; and 10 nieces and nephews. Eva was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Marian (the late Charles) Marshall; a great-granddaughter, Kirsten Blockinger; her in-laws, Everett and Martha Jane Spangler Blockinger; and her sister-in-law, Imogene Blockinger Brown.
