Audree J. Wernz Mason

SELLERSBURG — Audree J. Wernz Mason, 94 years of age, died Tuesday, July 8, 2014. She was born Sept. 20, 1919, in Illinois, to the late Stephen Arnold and Mollie Z. (See) Wernz. Audree and her husband of some 62 years, Robert who died in 2002, formerly lived in Terre Haute, for some 50 years. She was a retired bookkeeper, former member of Our Lady of Perpetual Church, and the L.I.F.T. Widow and Widowers group of Southern Indiana.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; son, Marty L. Mason; niece, Audree Galofaro; and nephew, Samuel Galofaro.  

Audree loved her family and people. She will be fondly remembered and missed by all who knew her. The family extends a special thanks to the staff at Maple Manor for all the special care and love received and given to Audree.

Survivors include her sister, Anita Galofaro and husband Tony; niece, Julie Moore and husband Tom; great-nieces, Jessie Burnett and husband Nathan and Claire Galofaro; and great-great-niece and nephew, Laine and Vincent Burnett

Reception of family and friends will be 2 to 8 p.m. today, July 11, 2014, with a Rosary Service at 4 p.m. at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany. Reception of family and friends will be held at DeBaun Funeral Home, 2425 Wabash Ave., Terre Haute, from 2 until 6 p.m. Sunday, July 13, 2014. Funeral Liturgy will be held 10 a.m. Monday, July 14, 2014, at DeBaun Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow in Roselawn Cemetery.
