Tina Marie (Jeffrey) Vanatti

BRAZIL — Tina Marie (Jeffrey) Vanatti, 56, of Brazil, passed away on July 3, 2014, at her home, with her family by her side. Tina was born Aug. 12, 1957, in Vigo County, the daughter of the late Thomas and Shirley (Graves) Jeffrey. She married the love of her life, Wesley Vanatti, on Sept. 1, 1979. Tina was known as a wonderful wife, mother and the best nana.

She was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 274 and an auxiliary member of American Legion Post 2. In her spare time, she enjoyed gambling, playing scratch offs and cooking, especially with bacon grease. A big joy of Tina’s life was being able to be a part of different dance-a-thons, amongst other things, to help with donations to Jerry’s Kids. She had avidly donated every year since she was 13. She will be dearly missed by her family.

Tina was preceded in death by her husband of 24 years, Wesley Vanatti; her parents; sister, Lois Skaggs; and nephew, Troy Jeffrey II.

She is survived by her sons, Thomas “Tom” Vanatti (Beth), and Brent Vanatti (Jennifer); grandchildren, Kloee Vanatti, Kadyn Vanatti, Cohen Vanatti, and Karlie Leitgabel; brothers, Troy Jeffrey (Vickie), Tom Jeffrey, and Bob Jeffrey; sisters, Pam Martin, Rose Cox (John), Metta Jeffrey, and Shelia Coleman; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

The family would like to send a special thanks to St. Vincent Clay Hospital and their staff for the wonderful and loving care of their mom.

Services will be Saturday, July 5, 2014, at 2 p.m. at Lawson-Miller Chapel with Pastor Doug Givan officiating. Burial will follow at Bee Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, at 11 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Muscular Dystrophy Association - WEB (Jerry's Kids), P.O. Box 78960, Phoenix, AZ 85062-896. Visit www.lawson-millerchapel.com to light a candle in her remembrance.
