Barbara K. Nash, 69, of Shelburn, passed away at 5:05 p.m. Tuesday, July 23, 2013, in her residence. She was born Sept. 9, 1943, in Farmersburg, to Cecil Wilson and Kiva (Pittman) Wilson.
Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Kenneth R. “Buck” Nash of Shelburn, whom she married on June 23, 1962; granddaughters, Kelsey Nash and Kiva Nash; grandson, Harcourt Alton; daughter-in-law, Angie Nash of Shelburn; sister, Betty Pullum of Farmersburg; brother, William and Anita Wilson of Farmersburg; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Kevin Nash; two infant brothers and brother, Bob Wilson; and sister-in-law, Betty Jo Wilson.
Barbara was a 1961 graduate of North Central High School. She was a member of the Friendly Grove Baptist Church. Barbara liked to cook and was involved with many church activities. She was head of the kitchen committee, was a member of the Ladies Missionary Group, and was involved with church camp. She was vice-president in charge of the Personal Line’s Department of A.I.M. Insurance, in Indianapolis, for several years. Barbara also volunteered as a teacher's aide and was involved with many activities that Kelsey was active in.
Visitation is scheduled from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, July 26, 2013, and 9 until 11 a.m. service time Saturday at Cox Funeral Home, Michael W. Cox, 218 South Meridian Street, in Jasonville. Funeral services are 11 a.m. Saturday, July 27, 2013, at the funeral home with Pastor Jason Hill officiating. Interment will be at Weslawn Cemetery in Farmersburg.
