FARMERSBURG — Raymond Weil, 83, of Farmersburg, passed away Monday, Aug. 5, 2013, at his residence. He was born Jan. 24, 1930, in Terre Haute, the son of Clemens and Alta Bartlett Weil. Raymond graduated from Pimento High School and was a lifelong farmer. He attended the First Methodist Church, in Farmersburg. Raymond loved agriculture and served as a member of the board of directors for Farm Bureau and Soil and Water Conservation throughout his lifetime. He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Harry Weil and Loren Weil; and two sisters, Mary Thomas and Lucille Daffer.
Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Dolores Clayton Weil; daughter, Patty Kennedy of Walkerton; two brothers, Rudy Weil of LeHigh, Fla., and Joe Weil of Youngstown; two sisters, Joan Dowell of Fort Myers, Fla., and Virginia Allen of Terre Haute; one grandson, Peter Kennedy (fiancée Kelly Houin).
Graveside funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 9, 2013, at Westlawn Cemetery, in Farmersburg, with the Rev. Don Ransford officiating. Arrangements were entrusted to Banks and Brust Funeral Home.
