---- — Donna R. Goda, 61, of Rosedale, passed away, at home, Jan. 30, 2013, following a lengthy battle with cancer. She was born in Terre Haute, Feb. 27, 1951, the daughter of Donald and Rose Anna (Bashaw) Bridgewater. Her father passed away following an automobile accident when Donna was 9 months old. Her mother, Rose Anna, married Thomas L. Moore and he raised her as his own. Donna graduated from Brazil High School with the class of 1969.

Donna married Stephen Goda July 24, 1971. She loved living on the farm as a homemaker all of her life. She also enjoyed mushroom and ginseng hunting, tending to her flowers, cooking and serving others. Donna was a member of New Life Fellowship Church. She was a wonderful mother to six children and most of all, an amazing “Mammie” to her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by both of her fathers, Donald Bridgewater and Thomas L. Moore; her son, Stephen Andrew Goda; and her father-in-law, Michael Goda. She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Stephen Goda; her mother, Rose Anna Moore of Brazil; her mother-in-law, Nola Goda of Brazil; children, Annie Daugherty and husband Pat of Rosedale, Teko Goda and wife Alexi of Brazil, Chad Goda and wife Sarah of Rosedale, Amanda Wallace and husband Ryan of Terre Haute, and Craig Goda and wife Marissa of Brazil; 17 grandchildren, Brooklyn, Trenton, Conner, Sawyer, Kaden, Paris, Zachary, Lily, Aubree, Brayden, Adyson, Sage, Eliana, Cooper, Annelise, Tucker, and Mason; siblings, Paul Moore and wife Joni, John Moore and wife Kathy, Mark Moore and wife Brenda, and Mary Bales and husband Doug, all of Brazil; brothers and sisters-in-law, Dianna Pursch and husband Timothy of South Carolina, Michael Goda and wife Linda of Fontanet, and David Goda and wife Tammy of Bowling Green; lifelong friend, Janet Riddell of Brazil; and as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and wonderful neighbors.

Services will be Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013, at noon at New Life Fellowship Church, in Seelyville, with Pastor Jeffrey Harpole officiating. Burial will follow at Bee Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church Saturday, from 10 a.m. until time of services.
