Katherine Imogene (Thompson) Harms

BRAZIL — Katherine Imogene (Thompson) Harms, 88, of Brazil, joined her beloved husband, Otto, in heaven at 4:12 p.m. Jan. 29, 2013, at home surrounded by her loving family. Her life was centered upon her husband and family. Imogene and Otto worked together to run “Otto’s Gas Company” (a propane gas company). She was a lifetime member of Bridgeton Baptist Church and more recently had been attending East Side Christian Church with her son and family. She also was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary and Eastern Star Lodge 80, as well as a former member of the 7:30 Home Ec Club.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Otto Harms; and a brother-in-law, Charles McHargue.

She is survived by her son, Ron (Linda) Harms; a sister, Norma McHargue; nephew, Charles (Linda) McHargue; grandchildren, Melinda (Bernie) Meunier, Molly (Roger) Schopmeyer, Melanie (Ray) McIlrath, Rusty (Jill) Harms, and Dava (Phil) Boor; great-grandchildren, Bralynne (Mark) Meyers, Brek Meunier, Brinn Otto (Whitney) Meunier, Bryce (Maria) Schopmeyer, Bryleigh (Derrick) Smith, Aaron McIlrath, Corrie McIlrath, Robert McIlrath, Trey Boor, Dalyn Boor, William Harms, and Owen Harms; great-great-grandchildren, Kullen Otto Meunier, Katherine Meyers (her namesake), Klaire Meyers, Braxton Schopmeyer, Easton Schopmeyer, Calli Meunier, Chloe Meunier, and Willow Robbins; as well as many nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family.
