Judy Vasbinder

TERRE HAUTE — Judy Vasbinder passed away on Friday, January 18, 2013, after a year of battle with cancer. The daughter of Dale and Garnet Cecil, Judy grew up in Cedar Rapids, IA,  where she met and married Carroll Vasbinder. They had two children, Kent and Dalene. In the late 1960s, the family moved to Columbus, IN. Judy worked as a secretary at the courthouse and for a law firm and was an active member of North Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). She is survived by her husband of 52 years of marriage, Carroll; her daughter, Dalene (Ken McCullough) of Lexington, KY; grandchildren, Nathan and Kaylen McCullough; brother, Steve Cecil (Twyla) of Indianapolis; her niece, Amy Hochstetler of Zionsville; nephew, Matt Cecil (Catherine) of Salt Lake City and loving Goldendoodle, Annie.

A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, January 26, 2013, in Central Christian Church, 4950 E. Wabash Ave., with Rev. Rebecca Zelensky officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Central Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), 4950 E.
