Albert Daniel Fleschner


ROSEDALE — ROSEDALE — Albert Daniel Fleschner, 88, of Rosedale, passed away Sunday, July 7, 2013, in his residence. He was born Nov. 3, 1924, in Terre Haute, to Albert and Florence Groth Fleschner. Albert was employed for many years by Lovelace Trucking as a laborer, as well as being an honorably discharged member of the U.S. Army.

Albert was a member of Rosedale Masonic Lodge 259, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 972, Order of the Eastern Star, and was a 32nd-Degree member of the Ancient Order of Scottish Rite. He was an avid gardener and religiously read the newspaper every day.

Albert was preceded in death by his parents; two children, David and Tawney Fleschner; two brothers; and two sisters.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Linda Fleschner; two sons, Gregory D. Fleschner and fiancée Becky Pine of Rosedale, and Albert L. Fleschner and wife Helen of Terre Haute; two daughters, Dona Baker and husband Billy, and Candy Lafata and fiancé Max Fischer; one sister, Betty Monroney of Georgetown, Texas; nine grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and many other friends, family, and loved ones.  

Funeral service for Albert will be Friday, July 12, 2013, at 1 p.m. at Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 N. 13th St., Terre Haute, with the Rev. David Rockhill officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Visitation will be 11 a.m. until service time on Friday, with Masonic services at 12:45 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family would request that donations be made to VFW Post 972 in Albert’s honor.
