Mary Louise Osborne, 82, passed away Friday, July 19, 2013, in Westridge Healthcare Facility. Mary was born Jan. 28, 1931, in Terre Haute, to Harold Asher and Thelma (Homrighouse) Archer. She graduated from Wiley High School. Mary was a proof reader for R. R. Donnelley in Terre Haute and a house wife to her husband, Jack L. Osborne. She attended Memorial United Methodist Church.
Her loving family includes one daughter, Karen Ann Whitecotten and husband James of Terre Haute; her son, Mark L. Osborne and wife Janice of Rushville; and three grandchildren, Grace, Kenneth and Jonathan, all of Terre Haute.
In honor of Mary’s wishes, cremation was chosen with no services scheduled. Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 N. 13th St., was entrusted with arrangements. Online condolences may be made at:
Robert ‘Joe’ Rogers Jr.
Robert “Joe” Rogers Jr., 55, of Terre Haute, passed away at 9:54 a.m. Sunday, July 28, 2013, in his residence. He had been employed with the Terre Haute Housing Authority in the maintenance department prior to his illness. He was born May 26, 1958, in Terre Haute, to Robert Joe Rogers Sr. and Hazel Mae Harmon Rogers. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jule Etta Harvey Rogers.
Survivors include his companion, Phyllis Jenkins of Terre Haute; a son, Harold James Rogers and his companion, Teresa Pitts of Terre Haute; three daughters, Bonnie Beth Hoopingarner of West Terre Haute, Christina Ann Melvin and husband Jackie of Terre Haute, and Shawna Michelle-Marie Thompson of Terre Haute; and his companion Phyllis’ son, Devin Phillips of Terre Haute; his mother of Terre Haute; two brothers, Steven Ray Rogers and Michael David Rogers I and wife Sherri, all of Terre Haute; 10 grandchildren, Mark, Hayle, Dalton, Taylor, Joseph, Justin, Julia, Leo, Keirsten, and Kurtis; and a great-grandchild, Miley. He also was preceded in death by his father; and a sister, Loretta Lynn Weger.
Funeral services for Joe will be 1 p.m. Friday in Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, with the Rev. Kenny Alkire officiating. Burial will be in Bethesda Memorial Park. Visitation will be 12 noon until service time Friday. The family kindly suggests that in lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, memorial contributions may be made to the Joe Rogers Memorial Fund to assist with expenses, with envelopes available in the funeral home.
