DENNISON, Ill. —
Billy G. Woltman, 81, of Dennison, passed away at 6:40 p.m. Sunday, July 28, 2013, at Paris Healthcare Center. He was retired after 35 years as a route salesman for the former Coca-Cola Bottling Company of Paris. He was born Feb. 2, 1932, in South Bend, Ind., the son of the late Leo and Cora (Vandygriff) Woltman. He married Sara Miller on Nov. 2, 1957, at Nevins Christian Church, in Edgar County, and she survives.
Other survivors include three daughters, Pamela (Doug) Feltz of Brownsburg, Ind., Cynthia (Bryan) Payne of Plainfield, Ind., and Rebecca (Terry) Gates of Paris; a brother, Robert (Libby) Woltman of Paris; and six grandchildren, Joshua Payne of Plainfield, Madison Gates of Paris, Aaron Payne of Plainfield, Zachary Feltz of Brownsburg, Jacob Gates and Caleb Gates, both of Paris. He also was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Woltman.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a member of Paris Christian Church, and also was active with Boy Scout Troop 180 for a number of years. He enjoyed gardening vegetables and fruit trees, and took great pride in his children and their families.
Services celebrating his life will be conducted at 10 a.m. CDT Thursday, Aug. 1, 2013, at Templeton Funeral Home, in Paris. Burial will follow in Edgar Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, at the funeral home. For those who wish, the family suggests that memorials be made to Paris Christian Church.
