Kelvin Thomas Heyen, 30, of West Terre Haute, passed away unexpectedly in his sleep on Thursday July 4, 2013 at his home.
He was a painter with American Ag Painters in West Terre Haute. He was born Oct. 7, 1982 in Terre Haute.
Survivors include his mother and step-father, Cathy Ann White Hedges and Harry Hedges of West Terre Haute; his grandparents, Thomas and Dorothy White of West Terre Haute; his father, Kelvin Lee Heyen; his wife, Joyell Johnson Heyen of Martinsville, Ill.; his children, Allie Jo Heyen and Thomas Wayne Heyen; three brothers, Jesse E. Padgett and his companion Linzie Lawson, Jacob Lee Hedges and Christopher Heyen; two sisters, Jennifer L. Taylor and her husband Trent, and Kelly Jo Hedges and her companion Mark Wilson; an uncle, Thomas White Jr. and his wife Debbie; nieces and nephews, Triston Shattuck, Mia Shattuck, Cohen Andrews, Casyn McConnaughy, Braylon McConnaughy, Blake Padgett and Keaton Padgett; and many cousins, including Thomas White III, Daniel Wilson, Laura Wilson and Kara Wilson.
He was preceded in death by two uncles, Edward “Bud” White and Bill White.
He loved to laugh and spend time with friends and family. He also loved listening to music, fishing and climbing.
Funeral services for Kelvin will be 7 p.m. Monday July 15, 2013 in Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, with the Rev. Buddy White officiating. Cremation has been scheduled after all services. Visitation will be 4 p.m. until service time Monday. The family kindly suggests that in lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, memorial contributions may be made to the Kelvin Heyen memorial fund with envelopes available in the funeral home.
