CHESTERFIELD, Va. —
Kip Dean Judson, 48, passed away at his home, in Chesterfield, Va., Friday May 2, 2014. He was born Sept. 13, 1965, in Sterling, Ill., to Lillabelle “Lou” and Bill Judson. He graduated from Terre Haute North Vigo High School and attended Indiana State University. He married Martha Jane Chapman on Feb. 21, 1986, in Terre Haute.
Kip worked more than 28 years in the mortgage industry. He was employed in various aspects of mortgage lending in Terre Haute, Indianapolis, Charlotte, N.C., Atlanta, and Richmond, Va. He loved classic rock music and classic cars. He touched the lives of many and was “a mountain of a man with a heart of gold.”
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Martha Jane Chapman Judson, daughters, Abigail and Emily, brother, Kevin (Adele) Judson, and father, Bill Judson, all of Chesterfield; sisters, Lisa (Jim) Peterson of Woodbury, Minn., and Debbie (John) Frisk of Crowley, Texas. He is also survived by six nephews, four nieces, three great-nephews, and two great-nieces.
Services will be Saturday, May 10, 2014, beginning at 10 a.m. at Gooch Funeral Home, in Rockville, with viewing on Friday, May 9, 2014, from 4 to 8 p.m. Flowers and plants or donations made in the name of your favorite charity are appreciated. Friends may sign an online guest register at:
