Rosemary Wade

God’s arms opened wide and welcomed heavens newest angel who went home to be with her Master June 20, 2014.

SULLIVAN — Rosemary Wade 88, formerly of Sullivan, was born Aug. 8, 1925, in Dugger, to Charles Wolfe and Amy Koons Wolfe.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond D. “Bud” Wade; her parents; and four brothers, Russell (Runt), Charles, Paul, and Basil Ray; one sister, Geneva Mason; and two granddaughters, Leesa K. Arnett and Daneeah A. Powell.

Rosemary was an amazing wife, mother and grandmother. She touched many lives with her spirit and was a powerful Christian and great prayer warrior.

She is survived by her four children, Denver A. Wade, Marsha J. Glick (Dave), Pastor David L. Wade (Sue), and Rebecca “Lori” Sullivan; grandchildren, Aaron S. Graves (Jamie), Andrew S. Graves, Jennifer J. Vickrey-Sylla (Amadou), Michelle N. Stewart (Robert), Justin T. Goings (Amy), Brent Arnett, Melissa Wade-McKinnies, and Nathaniel Wade; and 19 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. She also is survived by her siblings, Richard Wolfe, George (Sandy) Wolfe, and one sister, Hazel Null; and several nieces, nephews, and many extended family.

She was a member of Calvary Apostolic Church in Sullivan, for many years and played the bass fiddle and many other instruments in the church orchestra. She moved to Portland, Ind., and attended her son, Pastor David Wade’s congregation at Family Worship Center. She was an active participant in the church as well with her angelic voice raised in song and praise to God.

Services for Rosemary will be in Sullivan, with visitation on Monday, June 23, 2014, at Holmes Memorial Chapel from 4 to 8 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 24, 2014, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Kenneth Coffman officiating. Burial is in Center Ridge Cemetery with graveside eulogy given by her grandson, Robert Stewart.

Rosemary will be deeply and sadly missed by all those she impacted with her virtuous and humble spirit. She was a phenomenal woman, who without speaking a word her God shown through her as a beacon of light in this dark world.

Although absent in body, Rosemary’s spirit will live on in the hearts of her loved ones. She is now rejoicing before the throne with her husband and other family and friends that have gone on before her.

“When I was wandering in valleys of shadows,

Was blinded and could not see;

Jesus reached down from His Throne up in Heaven

And tenderly lifted me.

Now, I’m led by the Hand of the Master,

Guided to yonder bright land:

Never neglected, I’m surely protected:

I’m led by the Master’s hand.”
