CLINTON — CLINTON — Jack Lee McLaren, 86, of Noblesville, and formerly of Clinton, passed away Thursday, March 28, 2013, at Harbour Manor Care Center, in Noblesville. He was born Jan. 14, 1927, to Alexander and Mario (Weir) McLaren, in Clinton. Jack was a U.S. Army Air Force veteran of World War II. He was a graduate of Rose Hulman, class of 1950, where he was captain of the football team and a member of Theta Xi fraternity. He was employed in the service department of engine division of Caterpillar, Inc. for 37 years, retiring in 1986. He was a former member of East Peoria Church of Christ, and WestLake Church of Christ, Indianapolis, and currently a member of Green Valley Church of Christ. He also was the president and chairman of the board of Christian Schools in East Peoria.

He is survived by wife, Genevieve M. McLaren of Noblesville; daughters, Julie Wilson  (Ted) and Jerri Palechka (James); five grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, James A. McLaren and A. W. McLaren.

Memorial services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, April 13, 2013, at Green Valley Church of Christ, 19005 Cumberland Road, in Noblesville, with Jim Dillinger officiating. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park, in Terre Haute. Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, in Noblesville, assisted with arrangements.
