Stanley Thomas Pruner, 71, of Rosedale, died at 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 20, 2013, in Roudebush Veterans Affairs Medical Center at Indianapolis. He was a retired electrician. He was born Feb. 15, 1941, in Vigo County, Ind., to the late Raymond Pruner and Nora Wagle Pruner.
Survivors include two brothers, William (Judy) Pruner of Bridgeton, and Wayne Pruner of Rockville; four sisters, Hester (Jim) Swickard of Rosedale, Helen (Jim) Mitchell of Charlotte, N.C., Evelyn (Jim) Holler of Rosedale, and Elvena Pruett of Clinton; and five nieces and five nephews. He also was preceded in death by three nephews.
He served four years with the U.S. Air Force. He loved trains and collected railroad train cars and equipment. He lived in Parke County most of his life.
Services will be 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 25, 2013, in Cottrell-Gooch Funeral Home, 287 N. Main St., in Rosedale, with the Rev. Randy McPike officiating. Burial will follow in Rosedale Cemetery. Visitation is one hour before time of service on Friday.
