Allen Eugene Hazen

TERRE HAUTE — Allen Eugene Hazen, 54, of Terre Haute, passed away Friday, June 28. 2013, with his children and faithful friend by his side. Allen was born Oct. 11, 1957, to Eugene and Barbara (McCoskey) Hazen.

He graduated from Terre Haute North Vigo High School in 1976. Allen was a member of the Murdock Auto Racing Club. He loved sports, especially NASCAR, Indiana University basketball and the Green Bay Packers. He loved doing anything outdoors especially mushroom hunting and fishing. He also had a very strong passion for music. Allen will be remembered as a happy, fun-loving person. He had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh.

He is survived by his parents of Bridgeton; two children, Mady Hazen and Allen Hazen, both of Terre Haute; two sisters, Charlene Dabelow and Beverly Hazen, both of Terre Haute; along with aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandpa, Clyde Hazen, grandma, Delilah Hazen, and grandpa, Charles McCoskey, and grandma, Blanche McCoskey. Allen had many friends. Two very special friends, Brent Mitchell and Kris Bauers. Allen left us too soon and will be forever loved and missed.

Cremation has been scheduled. Graveside services and burial of his ashes will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in Highland Lawn Cemetery, with the Rev. Timothy Long officiating. Fitzpatrick Funeral Home assisted with arrangements.
