Ronald Lee King

TERRE HAUTE — Ronald “Ron” Lee King, 69, of Terre Haute, died Monday, June 24, 2013, at his residence. Ronald was born Oct. 21, 1943, in Washington, D.C., the son of the late George and Esther (Fox) King.

Mr. King was a retired construction manager and was United States Navy veteran. Ronald previously worked for Real Mechanical in Carmel, Leon Brown Construction in Fort Wayne, and Integrated Project Services in Indianapolis. Ron was a member of Union Christian Church, He loved anything about food and cherished the time he spent with his family and friends. Ron also was an accomplished soloist.

Mr. King was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, George King. Ron is survived by his wife, Sandra L. (Leahy) King, and they were united in marriage on July 30, 1988; sons, Jeff (April) Mattocks and David (Amy) Mattocks; daughter, Vicki Becom; previous wife, Yvonne Mattocks; stepdaughters, Carrie (Cary) Molinder, Sheri Corwin, Patricia (Brian) Yeager, and Emily (Joe) Warriner; grandchildren, Laureen, Kayle, Cassie, Bethany and Nick Mattocks, all of West Virginia, Brittany, Aaron and Hannah Molinder, of Terre Haute, Derek Yeager of Florida, Jamie, Alexis and Tyler Warriner, of Noblesville.

A celebration of Ron’s life will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 29, 2013, at Union Christian Church, 5350 E. Hulman Drive, with the Rev. Mark Grayless officiating. The family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until time of service. Arrangements are under the direction of Simple Cremations and Burials.
