Barbara E. Litteral Perisho

MARSHALL, Ill. — Barbara E. Litteral Perisho, 76, of Marshall, passed away 6:25 a.m. Monday, Aug. 19, 2013, at her home, following an extended illness. She was born Feb. 22, 1937, in Casey, the daughter of John Gard and Cecile Cribelar Gard. She was first married to Hobert L. Litteral on April 30, 1959, and he preceded her in death on Jan. 11, 1991. She later married Herb Perisho on Sept. 15, 1994, and he preceded her in death in December of 2003.

Surviving are her four children, Lisa Chandler of Waynetown, Ind., Julie Bounds of Marshall, Mark Litteral of Indianapolis, and Mitzi Snedeker of Marshall; five grandchildren, Brandon Chandler, Heather Bounds, Nathan Chandler, Emily Tingley and Nikki Bounds; and four great-grandchildren, Mack Tingley, Karlee Kile, Caydence Chandler and Carson Chandler. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Robert Gard, Jim Gard and Richard Gard.

She was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Casey, and was a graduate of Casey High School. She was a lover of animals, loved flowers and enjoyed working in her flower garden. She also loved to paint, especially pictures of barns.

Services in honor of her life will be 10 a.m. CDT Friday at Pearce Funeral Home, with the Rev. Billie Ray Ulrey officiating. Burial will be in Marshall Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday. For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Rescue Fund.
