Robert D. Frink

UNIVERSAL — UNIVERSAL — Robert D. Frink, 59, of Universal, died at 11:27 a.m. on Dec. 19, 2013, at Union Hospital in Terre Haute, Ind. He was born on Sept. 30, 1954, in Clinton, Ind., to George Frink and Joan Stash Frink.

Robert was a disabled miner. He was a member of Humbold Lodge F&AM in Terre Haute, Ind., and United Mine Workers of America. He married Connie Martin on July 27, 1974.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, John Frink; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law Debbie and John Doan; and a mother-in-law and father-in-law Lorene Jones Martin and Robert Martin Sr.

Survivors include Robert’s wife, Connie Frink; daughter, Bobbi Cox and her husband Tony of West Terre Haute, Ind.; granddaughter, Hannah Lorene Webster of West Terre Haute, Ind.; brother, Gary Frink of Clinton, Ind.; two sisters, Penny Frink and Toni Owens, both of Terre Haute, Ind.; one niece, Kaylee Shank of Terre Haute, Ind.; other nieces and nephews; one cousin, Kent Marek of Clinton, Ind.; two sisters-in-law, Darlene Porter and her husband Larry of Clinton, Ind.; and Lisa Martin of New Goshen, Ind.; two brothers-in-law, Robert Martin Jr. and his wife Tasha of Universal, Ind.; and Scott Martin of Clinton, Ind.

Due to predicted inclement weather, the celebration of Robert’s life will be postponed per family request to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 12, 2014, at Giovanini Funeral Home in Clinton, Ind., with the Rev. Jon Overbey officiating. Per Robert’s request, cremation was chosen. Friends may call at Giovanini Funeral Home from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 12, 2014.
