BROWNBURG — BROWNBURG — Thomas L. Haskett, 81, of Brownsburg, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2014. He had been a federal executive for more than 42 years, retiring in 2004, and served in the U.S. Marines from 1952-55. After retirement, he wintered in Anna Maria Island. He graduated from Rockford College and received his master’s degree in public administration from Syracuse University. An avid fisherman, he also was a diehard Cubs and Bears fan and served as a yellow shirt at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Haskett; stepchildren, Anne DeHart, Peggy Gurchiek (Bill), Susan Keating (Terry Mace), Patrick Keating (Leigh), and Craig Berkeley (Debbie); and eight stepgrandchildren.  

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 12 noon Saturday, Jan. 4, 2014, at Matthews Mortuary, in Brownsburg, followed by burial with military honors at 2 p.m. Saturday at Highland Lawn Cemetery, in Terre Haute.
