TERRE HAUTE —
Charlotte Lucille Eisman Oprisu, 88, of Indianapolis and formerly of Terre Haute, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Nov. 23, 2013. She was born May 12, 1925, in Terre Haute, to Charles L. and Marie (Sweet) Eisman. Charlotte married Nick G. Oprisu, and they had four children.
Charlotte graduated from Garfield High School. She worked at Clabber Girl baking powder in Terre Haute, and in the printing office at Indiana State University for a short time. She was a loving wife and mother to her family. She helped in raising and caring for many of her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 62 years, Nick G. Oprisu; sister, Betty Jean Eisman Goodman; and brother, Charles E. Eisman.
She is survived by her children, Stevan (Mary) Oprisu of Clayton, Rick (Amanda) Oprisu of Carmel, Anna Marie Oprisu of Indianapolis and Nikki (Tony) Simmons of Avon. She also is survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation was Monday, Nov. 25, 2013, in Stevens Mortuary, 5520 W. 10th St., in Indianapolis, and at Roselawn Memorial Park Chapel, in Terre Haute, from 1 to 2 p.m. today, with burial following.
