Lance E. Anderson, 63, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2013, at the V.A. Medical Center in Indianapolis. He was born in Brazil, on Aug. 17, 1950, to Richard and Frances Anderson. Lance graduated from Gerstmeyer Technical High School and attended Indiana State University. He was a member of Brazil First Baptist Church and is the owner of Advanced Trucking. Lance enjoyed spending time with his family, volunteering at church, riding horses, running heavy equipment, and running his trucking company.
He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Anderson; brother, Scott Anderson; and nephew, Jory Anderson.
Survivors include his mother, Frances Anderson, Brazil; sons, David Anderson, Terre Haute, and Phillip (Stephanie) Anderson, Anthony Anderson, and Robert (Tracey) Anderson, all of Brazil; sisters, Sally (Mike) Hamilton and Barb (Tim) Edler, all of Terre Haute; grandchildren, Dylan Anderson, Aaralyn Armstrong, Abby Anderson, Carter Anderson, Scott Anderson and Michael Anderson; nieces and nephews, Kyle Seibert, Kate Edler, Stephanie Anderson, and Levi Hoke; and special friends, Mark (Sharon) Anderson, Jay (Kelly) Swearingen, Danny (Connie) Robinson, and Shane Thompson, all of Brazil.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 23, 2013, at Moore Funeral Home, 142 N. Washington St., in Brazil, with Pastor Mark Thompson officiating. Burial to follow at Bee Ridge Cemetery. The family will accept friends from 11 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church, House of Hope, or Clay County Humane Society. Donation envelopes will be available in the funeral home.
