Buddy Lee Schoffstall
Buddy Lee Schoffstall, 68, of Terre Haute, passed away Sunday, Nov. 22, 2009, at home, surrounded by his family. He was born May 24, 1941, to Helen “Daniels” Schoffstall and Wilmer Schoffstall. He graduated from Garfield High School. Following high school he joined the U.S. Air Force. He was honorably discharged in 1960, as Airman 3rd class. Upon his return home he owned various businesses including Indiana Asphalt, which he operated for more than 30 years. He enjoyed golfing, horse racing, and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
He was a member of American Legion Post 40, and he attended Otter Creek Christian Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents, Philip “Coffee” Schoffstall and Myrtle Schoffstall; stepmother, Martha Schoffstall; brother, Steve Schoffstall; and nephew, Aaron Schoffstall.
Buddy is survived by his wife, Pat Schoffstall; sons and daughters, Tracy Schoffstall and friend Jeff Mathers, Scott Schoffstall and wife Marilyn, Larry Grizzel, Robin Schoffstall, Laura Jenkins, Todd Schoffstall and fiancé Adrea Walker, Michelle Schoffstall McCurdy and husband Jeremy; brother, Bill Schoffstall; sisters: Barbara Strange, Belinda Gariano and Jena Schoffstall; best friend, Walter Johnson; 15 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and daughter, Debbie.
At Buddy’s request there will be no service. Cremation has been scheduled. French Funeral Home, in Brazil, assisted with arrangements.
